BUILDR PODS Modular & High-Precision Building Components
BUILDR is a high performance and modular building system developed for rapid construction of architectural unique and energy efficient homes. The system consists of a series of flexible and easy-to-assemble light weight building pods that snap together like LEGO blocks. Every building pod has a unique code and are fabricated with high precision digital tools and made from natural bio-based materials. Simple and fast installment are done following a simple step-by-step guide from your smart phone – no prior building experience is required.

We call it ‘The Printable house’ and have created a digital recipe for the construction of houses containing all architectural, material and structural information. From this unique DNA we can extract the recipe to build any house – anywhere. Combining creative architectural enterprise, extensive material knowledge and automated in-house manufacturing of high quality building modules into one single entity. The ‘all-in-one’ approach enables us to gain integral control of the design, manufacture, material and assembly process all the way to the ‘end-of-life’ and recirculation of materials back into nature or the reusing of modules in new projects. This control allows us to develop our product and adapt it to local conditions while delivering a high quality and efficient product with a long life span. We design for disassembly and all our products, can be taken apart and sold off separately, traded or easily relocated. In this we have perfected an additive and subtractive modular building system – a sustainable core product which is highly adaptable to any housing market.

BUILDR believes in local production of high quality products, using local materials of renewable resources with a low carbon footprint, to be the business of the future. In other words improving quality of life with integrated environmental benefits. We use only sustainable and high performance materials from renewable resources in our building products and make sure that we always provide our clients with a clean and healthy interior climate. Passive solar energy and natural ventilation are integrated into our products providing the best basic thermal regulation at no extra costs. Holes for insulation are prepared in all compartments for blowing in insulation – a technique that performs up to 25% better. All components of the construction are lightweight and numbered for easy instalment, meaning that two men can build a house without the use of cranes or heavy machinery. Using these simple principles and only high quality materials our houses store up to twice the amount of carbon that goes into the production – leaving a sustainable product well prepared for a green future.
